This Privacy Policy describes how Odys-say (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and website.
What we collect
- Account identifier (anonymous Firebase user ID, or email if you sign in with Apple, Google, or Email/Password).
- Onboarding choices (categories of interest, optional free-text reflection prompt, destination city, arrival date).
- Approximate location when the app is open, and geofence events when you enable background location, used solely to deliver place-based audio and notifications.
- Listening events (which place you started, paused, or finished) used to personalise future commentary.
- App Store / Google Play purchase receipts, validated to unlock purchased cities.
How we use it
- To generate the personalised commentary and questions you hear.
- To send geofence-based arrival notifications you opt in to.
- To validate in-app purchases and restore them across devices.
- To debug and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your phone contacts, photos, microphone, or movement outside of geofence enter events.
Your choices
- You can revoke location or notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
- You can delete your account from inside the app; we delete your data within 30 days.
- You can email us at support@odyssay.com to request export or deletion.
